When I signed up with "The Spanish Zone" I did not know what to expect because I had never considered or tried an immersion experience. It proved to be more than I had expected. I was greeted into the school by a staff of friendly and competent people whom I quickly established as lifelong friends. My instructor was patient, interesting, and helpful in too many ways to describe. She began where she should with an assessment of my ability to speak Spanish, and then she quickly developed a course, personalized for me, that allowed me to progress comfortably during the next two weeks.
My homestay with a Costa Rican (Tico) family was pleasurable and interesting. I didn't receive just a place to sleep at night. I became an extended member of a family. I will never forget my life experience, and I will never forget my new-found amigos in Costa Rica.
Thank you, your staff, and my family for an experience in an environment of learning and growing. I am looking forward to returning during Spring of 2007 to further my ability to speak Spanish.
